Financial Stress

Financial stress is consistently rated one of the most damaging stressors in first-world nations. It is also often associated with low productivity at work and relationship issues in multiple studies and there are also correlations between poor mental and physical health and financial stress.

Mindfulness has been shown in hundreds of studies to positively affect anxiety and mild to moderate depression symptoms, rumination (over-thinking), memory loss, and its proven benefits have the potential to address the most difficult and persistent stressor of all: financial stress.

“Mindfulness is a maintenance tool to help develop clarity of thought to create space in the mind for new ideas and innovations, new ways of changing or improving current circumstances,” says Tomas Jajesnica, chief Mindfulness officer for Financial Mindfulness.

Furthermore, there is a growing acceptance of the use and efficacy of apps as tools to manage and improve mental health.
